Thomas E Martyak, M.D., FACC

Dr. Martyak is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He attended Georgetown University for medical school and then entered the Army. He trained at Walter Reed Medical Center for Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology after a start in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Martyak was Chief of Cardiology at William Beaumont in El Paso, Texas and then relocated to Fredericksburg to begin the Interventional cardiology program at Mary Washington Hospital. He has extensive experience with cardiac catheterization, coronary and peripheral vascular intervention, and clinical research. He has lived and practiced in the Fredricksburg area for over 30 years. Dr. Martyak has a special interest in educating his patients and their family members to their specific cardiac issue, so they can be involved in improving their overall cardiac health.
